As part of the 12th International Cultural Festival of Sufi Melodies and the International Scientific Symposium held in the city of Laghouat, Algeria, a significant event took place: the official presentation of the literary and publicistic book “Spirituality: The Guiding Star of New Uzbekistan. Islam as a Philosophy of Humanity, Knowledge, and Enlightenment” by the distinguished Iraqi writer and orientalist, Professor Dr. Ahmad Jasim Al-Zubaidi of the Uzbekistan State World Languages University in Tashkent.

The 560-page volume, published in both Uzbek and Arabic, is devoted to elucidating the underlying philosophy of the consistent policies pursued by the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, in the religious, spiritual, scientific, and educational spheres, as well as the universal significance of his global initiatives in these fields.

As a writer and scholar who has closely observed Uzbekistan’s social and educational developments over many years, the author provides a comprehensive account of the country’s ongoing process of spiritual renewal, the promotion of religious tolerance, and the reforms aimed at upholding human dignity, highlighting both their implementation and their tangible outcomes.
At the presentation ceremony, the leadership of the Imam Bukhari International Scientific Research Center emphasized the history of the book’s development and noted that it had been highly commended by the Head of State of Uzbekistan.

Scholars from the Arab world, Islamic studies experts, and representatives of foreign delegations participating in the symposium expressed strong interest in the content of the work. During the event, special interviews were organized for international media representatives and television journalists to highlight the significance of the book.
At the conclusion of the presentation, copies of the book—written in Arabic with profound philosophical reflections on the educational reforms in New Uzbekistan, the rich intellectual heritage of the scholars of Mawarannahr, and the principles of tolerance—were presented as gifts to foreign participants of the international symposium as well as to interested Arab scholars.
