A TURKISH PHD RESEARCHER CONDUCTS RESEARCH ON THE INTELLECTUAL LEGACY OF KHWAJA MUHAMMAD PARSA

Another foreign researcher, Mustafa Alagozoglu, a doctoral student at the Faculty of Theology at the prestigious Dicle University in Turkey, arrived at the Imam Bukhari International Research Center for a research internship as part of the international scholarship program.

During a meeting with the Center’s Director, Shovosil Ziyodov, the visiting researcher shared his academic plans and outlined the primary objectives of his research.

Mustafa Alagozoglu’s study focuses on the contribution of Khwaja Muhammad Parsa al-Bukhari, a distinguished scholar and prominent representative of the Naqshbandi tradition, to the development of Hadith studies. Particular attention is devoted to the scholar’s work al-Fusul al-Sitta (“The Six Chapters”), which constitutes the central subject of the research. Khwaja Muhammad Parsa, whose full name was Abu al-Fath Jalal al-Din Muhammad Hafizi, is recognized as one of the leading intellectual figures of the Naqshbandi tradition.

The Director of the Center highly commended the young scholar’s research topic, emphasizing that studies of this kind play a significant role in exploring the intellectual heritage of the eminent scholars who emerged from the land of Mawarannahr. He also wished the researcher success in his future academic endeavors.

In accordance with the fellowship program, the Turkish researcher is expected to examine the rich collection of rare manuscript sources preserved at the Center. The program also includes visits to several historic cities of Uzbekistan, renowned for centuries as major centers of learning, scholarship, and culture.

Within the framework of this program, a number of other distinguished and emerging scholars from abroad are expected to visit the Center and conduct research by the end of the year.
