Professor Shovosil Ziyodov, Director of the Imam Bukhari International Scientific Research Center, participated in an international ceremonial event held in Laghouat, People’s Democratic Republic of Algeria. The participation was conducted in a virtual format following an official invitation from the leadership of the Research Center for Islamic Sciences and Civilization. The event was organized to commemorate the 10th anniversary of the founding of the Algerian institution.
An international conference was convened via the Google Meet platform, bringing together distinguished representatives of the global scientific community. The session served as a strategic forum for scholars and researchers to engage in high-level dialogue concerning the preservation and study of intellectual traditions.
The invitation to this event was highlighted as a significant continuation of the academic cooperation established between the institutions in recent years. In particular, the visit of the Uzbek scientific delegation to Algeria in May 2025 was noted as a pivotal step that served to further strengthen these collaborative ties.
In his congratulatory remarks, Professor Shovosil Ziyodov extended his commendations to the organizers on the occasion of the anniversary, emphasizing that the Research Center for Islamic Sciences and Civilization in Laghouat has evolved into an internationally recognized academic institution within a remarkably short period. Furthermore, he highlighted the “SAMAA” International Cultural Festival of Sufi Songs, traditionally hosted in Laghouat, as a prestigious international platform that reinforces the spiritual and cultural dialogue between Uzbekistan and Algeria. Professor Ziyodov noted that such initiatives significantly contribute to enhancing mutual understanding and strengthening the bonds of kinship between the two nations.
In conclusion, the anniversary event was recognized as a significant international platform conducive to the study of the scientific heritage of Islamic civilization, the advancement of global scholarly dialogue, and the elevation of institutional cooperation to a new level.
