A delegation from Malaysia’s SIRIM Academy (Standard and Industrial Research Institute of Malaysia) visited the Imam Bukhari International Scientific Research Center.
The guests explored ways to further expand cooperation between Uzbekistan and Malaysia, focusing on improving tourism management and sector marketing. They also examined the potential for introducing Muslim-friendly tourism standards in Uzbekistan and shared their expertise in specialized courses organized for professionals across the country.
SIRIM Academy is a leading institution in Malaysia, specializing in scientific and technical education, research, and standardization, with the goal of supporting industrial and technological development. Established in 1975, the academy has grown into one of Malaysia’s largest international centers for standards, innovation, and research.
The academy’s experts, involved in training courses, research, certification, and standardization, help develop innovative solutions, improve quality control, and enhance production efficiency. During their visit, the Malaysian researchers closely examined the Center’s museum, enriching their knowledge of Imam Bukhari’s life and rich scholarly legacy. They also highly praised the newly constructed Imam Bukhari complex and the Center’s potential in pilgrimage tourism.
