Imam Bukhari International Scientific Research Center was visited by Dr. Mahmud Misri, Director General of “Darul Makhtutot” (“House of Manuscripts”) Center in Istanbul.
The scientist is a member of the editorial boards of a number of prestigious scientific publications, the author of several books on the history of medicine and the study of manuscripts. His book “Theoretical Foundations of Manuscript Research” has been translated into Uzbek.
Otabek Mukhammadiev, Deputy Director of the Center, introduced the guest to the Museum of the Center. The Turkish scientist was shown the activities of the Center’s library, the resource treasury, and the work being done to digitize manuscripts.
During the conversation, it was noted that in the current conditions of globalization, the priority is to preserve the true values of Islam, to convey to the general public, especially to young people, the scientific works and purely human views of great scholars who grew up in Mawarounnahr. Attention was paid to the principles of tolerance in Islam, the importance of studying works on Hanafi and Moturidi fiqh, and it was emphasized that it is important to achieve wider promotion of the true essence of our sacred religion.
The parties also discussed the prospects of mutual cooperation.
