A delegation headed by Professor Fariza Md Sham, director of the Institute of Islamic Civilization at the National University of Malaysia, visited the Imam Bukhari International Scientific Research Center.
The guests were welcomed by the head of the Center, Shovosil Ziyоdov, and the rector of the School of Hadith Science, Barot Amonov, and introduced to the activities of the Museum.
A Memorandum of Understanding on mutual cooperation was signed between this institute and the Center in 2021. Based on it, many joint projects are regularly implemented.
During the dialogue with the management of the center, the prospects of further expansion of the scope of cooperation relations were discussed.
The parties noted with pleasure that within the framework of the memorandum, cooperation has been established on the basis of strong cooperation in a number of directions, as a result of which, joint projects are being implemented, and scientific seminars and exhibitions are being organized. As a result of consistent dialogues, an international scientific-practical web forum, online seminars, scientific conferences were held, and new publications of the Center were published on the website of the institute. Three Malaysian researchers have won the international scholarship program named after Imam Bukhari established by the Center.
Last year, the monographs of four researchers of the Center were included in the collection entitled “Muslim Scholars of Islamic Civilization”, which consists of more than 20 articles by internationally renowned scientists published by the Institute. The collection is included in the international electronic platform Scopus.
In the conversation, it was noted that there is a need to thoroughly ensure the integrity of cooperation in the further improvement of scientific activities in the future. A number of suggestions on increasing the effectiveness of joint projects and further expanding the scope of cooperation were made, and important agreements were reached on organizational and practical issues.
The guests were presented with a collection of the Center’s literature.
The members of the delegation also visited the School of Hadith Science and got to know the educational processes and the conditions created for students. The parties expressed an initiative to establish cooperative relations and agreed to prepare a draft memorandum of understanding in this regard.
