An international seminar on “Representatives of the Hanafi school of Khorezm and their views” was held at the Imam Bukhari International Scientific Research Center. The scientific staff of the Center, scientists from Algeria, France, Kyrgyzstan and Turkey participated in the seminar.Ulanbek Kalmurza Uulu, a researcher of the Kyrgyz-Turkey Manas University, winner of the International Scholarship of Imam Bukhari, who is currently doing a scientific internship at the Center, gave a speech on the topic.
The researcher noted that the valley of Khorezm, which has hosted many cultures since ancient times, flourished during the Islamic civilization. The history of the establishment of the school of jurisprudence in this country, giving information about the scholars who made a great contribution to the development of Islamic law, focused on the events that took place in this direction in the gradual stages of the past.
Ulanbek Kalmurza Uulu said that the invasion of the Mongols forced not only jurisprudence, but also science, Arabic language, and history to move to the western countries, as a result, important works on jurisprudence were lost, so books by Khorezm scholars are rare in libraries and museums. Nevertheless, based on the life stories of the thinkers of the Khorezm school of jurisprudence presented in some copies of the rare manuscripts from the XI-XII centuries, it is possible to get information about the contribution of the scholars of the valley to the development of the science of Islamic law.
Fiqh of the valley differs from the jurisprudence schools of Bukhara, Samarkand, Balkh, Khorasan, and Iraq, based on the geographical location, climate, and customs of the people of Khorezm. approaches are visible. This indicates that the political and economic conditions of each historical period played an important role in the development of the industry.
At the end of his speech, the researcher expressed deep gratitude to the Center’s scientific team for the opportunities and practical support provided, and expressed his satisfaction that his participation in the scholarship program is very useful in his research.
