June 15 this year, the head of our state Shavkat Mirziyoyev made a speech at the fifth Summit of the Conference on Interaction and Confidence Building Measures in Asia, in the Dushanbe city of the Republic of Tajikistan. Moreover, invited to establish a systematic dialogue on strengthening inter-religious harmony, enlightenment, and cultural enrichment and said that the Islamic Center of Uzbekistan in Tashkent and Imam Bukhari International Scientific Research Center in Samarkand could be an effective platform.
Over the past short period, four international conferences and meetings have organized based on proposals made by foreign countries and the agreements reached by the Center in international cooperation.
These days at the IBISRC – the fifth, on the theme “Strengthening Central Asian Cooperation in the Prevention of Religious Tolerance, Violent Extremism and Radicalization” International conference an international conference is taking place.
This conference comes from the tasks of the IBISRC and organized with the S5 + 1 dialogue in partnership with the US Peace Institute.
At the conference, about fifty international experts and scientists are participating in are from the US, Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, and Afghanistan
During the first day of the conference, the issues of rehabilitation of those who had resorted to terrorism and violent extremism, their spouses and children were mainly discussed.
During the conference, Director of the IBISRC Sh. Ziyodov informed the participants about the ongoing religious and educational reforms in our country and the goals, objectives, and tasks of the Imam Bukhari International Scientific Research Center, the results of scientific research and international cooperation.
Conference participants’ familiarized conditions created for researchers at the IBISRC and visited the Imam Bukhari Memorial Complex.
The conference will continue its work on November 3.
