Imam Bukhari International Scientific Research Center is founded by President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Sh. Mirziyoyev on March 27, 2017, decided to collect, study and repair manuscripts and carry out fundamental researches on them. Our great fellow, the sultan of hadith science Imam Bukhari and the rich heritage of the great scholars and scientists who have grown from the country and the Muslim world, deeply research and popularize the contribution of world civilization to the development of science, to promote the younger generation of nations, inter-religious tolerance, mutual respect, peace and prosperity. as well as strengthening the spiritual-enlightenment dialogue and cooperation at the international level.
After the establishment of the Imam Bukhari International Scientific Research Center, signed memorandums of cooperations with more than 15 leading Islamic research centers and universities around the world.
In addition, partnerships with research centers in the UK, France, Germany, the United States, Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Turkey, Malaysia, Pakistan, and India have been established. The Malaysian University of Islamic Sciences, the Institute of Islamic Civilization, the Institute of Islamic Awakening have reached agreement on studying and researching the scientific heritage of our great scholars.
June 15, 2019, “Fifth Summit of the Conference on Interaction and Confidence Building Measures in Asia”, was held in Dushanbe, Tajikistan, Head of our state reported a number of proposals and initiatives of the state on further strengthening and development of cooperation.
In particular, Head of our state suggested establishing a systematic dialogue on issues of strengthening interfaith harmony, enrichment of enlightenment and culture and said that the Center for Islamic Civilizations in Tashkent and the Imam Bukhari International Scientific Research Center in Samarkand could serve as an effective platform.
It should be noted that the initiative of the President has further enhanced the interest of foreign research centers to the Imam Bukhari International Scientific Research Center, and they have made a number of cooperation proposals.
In this year on July 19, at the Imam Bukhari International Scientific Research Center will be held manuscript copies of the book “Sahih Bukhari” devoted to the birthday of Imam Bukhari and scientific-practical seminar on the international photo exhibition “World Islamic Cities” was held.
Also, a fund of manuscripts designed to preserve manuscripts and lithographs was founded on the basis in the Imam Bukhari International Scientific Research Center. Besides, electronic copies of about 1500 manuscripts of the scientific heritages of the scientists who have been trained in the manuscript fund of the Center from all over the world. 140 of them were given information about Imam Bukhari’s al-Jomi’ as-Sahih.
Initially, the Deputy Director of the Center, Ph.D. in History Sciences Sh. Umarov spoke at the international photography exhibition “World Islamic Cities” and opened the event and congratulated all the participants on the opening of this international photography exhibition. The well-known Turkish photographer Orhan Durgut, who is also the author of the international photography exhibition, also said: “With this center, which is named after Imam Bukhari’s center, I sincerely congratulate the staff of the center! Today, I am very glad that my work product has been exhibited in Samarkand. Thanks to the organizers for this. The situation of Muslim countries and Muslims today is very worries. The lack of solidarity, the intrigues of riots, and the disturbances have not led to the development of Muslims. I wanted to reform this pitiful situation and what I could do to build a little brotherhood between the people and decided to travel to Muslim regions with my photography work. My goal is to visit many countries and I say. I took photographs of mosques and madrasas there. I collected a huge collection. When I visit many Islamic cities during my work, I find that Imam Bukhari is a great scholar and educator in these cities, and this makes me proud. My goal is to make sure that all Muslims live the same way or that they are closer to each other and to give them the opportunity to feel it. “
In its works, the photographer reflected the historical buildings and sacred places of 60 Islamic cities around the world.
Noteworthy aspect, photographer Imam Bukhari had visited the cities of Mecca, Madinah, Basra, Kufa, Baghdad, Damascus, Kayseri, Asqalon and Eshbaob, where he visited the famous Islamic cultural heritage and he reflected in his creative work.
Orhan Durgut’s photo collection includes famous historical sites such as the Imam Bukhari Memorial, the Registan Ensemble, Shohizinda, Ichan Qala, Hakim At-Termizi, Khasti Imam, Kohna Ark and many other sacred places dating from Samarkand, Bukhara, Khorezm, Tashkent, and Termez. including mausoleums.
Participants of the event were familiarized with the manuscript copies of Sahih al-Bukhari and also acquainted with the image of the great scholar Imam Bukhari.
Then the conference participants were invited to the conference hall. In the course of the event, Sh. Umarov congratulated the participants on the international photo exhibition and made a speech on “Life and scientific heritage of Imam Bukhari”. The chief imam of Samarkand region Z. Eshonqulov lectured on “Complex of Imam Bukhari: Yesterday and Today”, Professor of Samarkand State University. Prof. B.Turaev on the theme “Al-Jome as-Sahih” with the lectures on the topic “The services of Movarounnahr scholars in the development of science” and the teacher of the Hadith school Z.Begmatov “The first hadith explanation from Al-Jameef al-Saheeh”.
During the conference, there were organized scientific roundtables for responsible organizations and industry experts, exchange of experiences among experts, development of future scientific contacts and other issues.
The study of the scientific heritage of Imam Bukhari and other great ancestors, the study of their rich scientific heritage, and the dissemination of their works to the general public have been widely discussed at this international photo exhibition and made relevant proposals and conclusions.
The exhibition will continue for one month and will last until August 19, 2019.
