A delegation led by Maulana Tariq Jamil, a prominent Pakistani Islamic scholar and internationally respected public figure, visited the Imam Bukhari International Scientific Research Center.
The guests first toured the Center’s museum exhibitions and familiarized themselves with the modern facilities and resources available to its academic staff and researchers. The rare manuscripts on display, the rich scholarly and intellectual heritage of the great hadith scholar Imam Bukhari and other eminent scholars of Transoxiana, as well as the Center’s recent publications and achievements in source studies, left a profound impression on the visitors.
Following the tour, a roundtable discussion was held with the participation of the Center’s academic staff, international researchers, and members of the delegation.
The discussion focused on the importance of conducting in-depth research into Imam Bukhari’s rich scholarly legacy, promoting his outstanding contributions to the development of hadith scholarship internationally, and upholding the principles of high moral standards, tolerance, mutual respect, and humanity in religious and educational activities.
Throughout his many years of religious preaching and public outreach, Maulana Tariq Jamil has placed particular emphasis on fostering spiritual development, promoting moral excellence, and strengthening peace and harmony in society. These objectives closely align with one of the Center’s core missions: studying the scholarly heritage of great Islamic scholars and raising public awareness of its educational and spiritual significance.
In his remarks, Maulana Tariq Jamil particularly acknowledged the unparalleled contributions of the scholars of Transoxiana to the development of Islamic civilization. He emphasized the importance of widely promoting noble values such as good character, spiritual purification, and nonviolence in educating younger generations in today’s increasingly globalized world.
