The 10th International Seminar on Nabawi Heritage 2026 (SWAN X 2026), organized by the Imam Bukhari International Scientific Research Center in collaboration with Universiti Sains Islam Malaysia (USIM) and Universiti Islam Antarabangsa Tuanku Syed Sirajuddin (UniSIRAJ), successfully concluded on October 7 in Samarkand, Uzbekistan.

The second day of the conference featured parallel online academic sessions and special lectures addressing a wide range of contemporary challenges. Discussions focused on Prophetic approaches to overcoming crises in the digital age, achieving inner and outer stability and personal development, and exploring the spiritual and ethical foundations of well-being in modern society.
Held over two days under the theme “Sustainable Development and Wise Leadership in an Era of Globalization: The Prophetic Legacy and Contemporary Approaches,” the conference brought together distinguished scholars and researchers from Uzbekistan, Malaysia, Saudi Arabia, Pakistan, Jordan, the United Arab Emirates, the United Kingdom, Oman, Qatar, Indonesia, Thailand, and Nigeria.

Throughout the forum, more than 200 academic presentations were delivered, including over 50 in person and approximately 170 online. The impressive scale of participation and broad geographical representation demonstrated the conference’s growing international recognition and its increasingly prominent role as a platform for scholarly exchange.
Organized regularly every two years, this prestigious academic gathering continues to attract a diverse community of researchers and specialists, reflecting sustained global interest in the study of the Prophetic legacy and its relevance to contemporary challenges.
According to the organizers, hosting the conference in Uzbekistan carried profound historical and academic significance. The country has long been recognized as one of the great centers of Islamic scholarship, particularly in the field of hadith studies, and is closely associated with the remarkable intellectual legacy of eminent scholars such as Imam al-Bukhari and Imam al-Tirmidhi.
Against this distinguished historical backdrop, the international conference held at the Imam Bukhari International Scientific Research Center provided an important opportunity to further strengthen academic partnerships among universities and research institutions from different countries.
The gathering also contributed significantly to advancing scholarly dialogue in the fields of hadith, the Prophetic biography (sirah), and the Sunnah, opening new avenues for collaborative research and intellectual exchange.

The successful conclusion of SWAN X 2026 reaffirmed the importance of international academic cooperation in preserving, studying, and promoting the Prophetic legacy while exploring its enduring relevance to sustainable development, ethical leadership, and the well-being of contemporary societies.
