New Egyptian Fellow Begins Research Internship at the Center

As part of the Imam Bukhari International Scholarship Program, another international researcher, Noha Adel, a master’s student at the Institute of Arabic Manuscripts in Egypt, has arrived at the Center to undertake a research internship.

The Egyptian researcher was received by Professor Shovosil Ziyodov, Director of the Center. During the meeting, she outlined her research plans and principal objectives, focusing on Islamic art in Uzbekistan, historical artisans’ associations and craft guilds, as well as the country’s rich manuscript tradition.

The Center’s leadership also briefed the researcher on the facilities available at the institution and the extensive resources of its library and manuscript collection.

Under the approved internship program, Noha Adel will work with rare sources held in the Center’s collection, learn about the activities of relevant research institutions and museums across Uzbekistan, and engage in scholarly discussions with local manuscript specialists and experts in the field.
