A delegation of faculty members and students from Istanbul Commerce University visited the Imam Bukhari International Scientific Research Center. During the visit, the guests toured the Center’s museum and its exhibitions, gaining insights into the rich scholarly and spiritual heritage of the scholars of Transoxiana, rare manuscripts, and the research activities carried out by the Center.

As part of the visit, an international roundtable discussion entitled “In the Footsteps of Culture: A Journey into Islamic Thought” was held with the participation of researchers from the Center and the visiting delegation. During the event, renowned Turkish literary scholar Professor Oğuzhan Aydın, a leading expert in Turkish literature, Sufi culture, and the history of Islamic civilization, shared his views and reflections on the subject.

It was emphasized that Islamic thought is not merely a collection of historical and philosophical ideas, but also serves as an important spiritual foundation for fostering moral stability, integrity, and a culture of honesty in society. Deep respect for our rich cultural heritage, combined with its study in harmony with the achievements of modern science, contributes to broadening young people’s intellectual horizons and cultivating noble human qualities.

The discussion also focused on the representation of moral values in Islamic civilization and literature, as well as the role of Sufi culture in human development and character formation. It was noted that young people guided by knowledge, enlightenment, and intellectual awareness are less likely to stray from the right path and can make a meaningful contribution to fostering a healthy social environment. In this regard, such meetings were highlighted as playing an important educational role in the academic and spiritual development of students.

The event, which was marked by lively discussions and an engaging question-and-answer session, left a strong and positive impression on the participants.
