Prospects for Scientific Cooperation Discussed

Otabek Mukhammadiyev, Deputy Director of the Imam Bukhari International Scientific Research Center, and Jonibek Jumayev, Head of the Center’s Department for the Development of Pilgrimage Tourism, held a meeting in Türkiye with Ashirbek Muminov, Adviser to the Director General of the Research Centre for Islamic History, Art and Culture (IRCICA).

Held in a friendly and constructive atmosphere, the meeting focused on the current state and future prospects of scientific cooperation between the two institutions. The discussions covered the implementation of ongoing joint projects and the development of new initiatives, as well as plans for source studies, manuscript research and the preparation of scholarly publications.

The representatives of the Center also held a meeting with Professor Mehmet Görmez, Rector of the International University of Islamic Science and Technology in Türkiye.

During the cordial discussions, particular attention was paid to strengthening cooperation in higher education and scientific research, jointly studying the rich scholarly legacy of the scholars of Transoxiana (Mawarannahr), and continuing projects aimed at enhancing the professional qualifications and research capacities of academic staff.

It was noted that the meetings and discussions would contribute to further strengthening ties between the scientific institutions of Uzbekistan and Türkiye and to advancing promising joint projects to a new stage
