AN AGREEMENT ON COOPERATION WAS REACHED WITH MALAYSIA’S LARGEST FUND

As previously reported, the delegation from Samarkand Region, led by Governor Adiz Boboyev, is currently visiting Malaysia.

Another discussion within the framework of the visit took place in Kuala Lumpur with Tan Sri Abdul Rashid Husayn, Chairman of “Tabung Haji,” one of Malaysia’s largest and most prestigious institutions.

The main focus of the meeting was on exchanging experience in organizing Hajj and Umrah pilgrimages and on developing strategic partnerships in the field of pilgrimage tourism.

During the dialogue, new opportunities for Malaysian pilgrims within the framework of the “Umrah Plus” program were presented. In particular, detailed discussions were held on systematically organizing visits to the Imam Bukhari Memorial Complex, which holds special significance for the Malaysian people, creating the highest standards of facilities for visitors, and addressing logistical matters.

It was emphasized that the combination of Malaysia’s extensive experience in managing Hajj and Umrah pilgrimages with Samarkand’s significant potential in pilgrimage tourism will elevate religious, educational, and cultural ties between the two countries to an entirely new level.

At the conclusion of the meeting, both parties reached important agreements on implementing joint projects in the field of pilgrimage tourism and expanding practical cooperation.
