On 17 February, an online ceremony was held for the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding between the Imam Bukhari International Scientific Research Center and the Application and Research Center for Traditional Arts under Necmettin Erbakan University of Turkey.
The event, organized in a videoconference format, was attended by the leadership and research staff of both institutions.
At the outset of the ceremony, Shovosil Ziyodov, Director of the Imam Bukhari International Scientific Research Center, particularly emphasized the steadily developing friendly relations and effective cooperation between Uzbekistan and Turkey.
As noted, the sincere and constructive dialogue between the heads of state — Shavkat Mirziyoyev, President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, and Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, President of the Republic of Turkey — is elevating practical bilateral cooperation to a new stage.
During the dialogue, information was provided on the initiatives being implemented within the framework of international academic cooperation. In particular, it was noted with satisfaction that the Imam Bukhari International Scientific Research Center has signed more than 50 memoranda of cooperation with reputable foreign academic institutions, a significant proportion of which involve partners from Turkey.
It was also acknowledged that the active participation of Turkish scholars in the international conferences and academic forums held annually stands as a tangible outcome of this cooperation.
At the conclusion of the meeting, it was emphasized that the signed document will serve as a legal framework for mutually beneficial cooperation in expanding ties in the field of scientific research, implementing joint projects, fostering academic exchanges, and sharing expertise in traditional arts and cultural heritage.
As part of the event, participants were shown a video dedicated to the activities of the Center.
