At present, Dr. Khairil Husaini bin Jamil, Associate Professor at the International Islamic University Malaysia, and Hadicha Demirci Akyüz, a researcher from Trabzon University, Turkey, who are currently undergoing their internship at the Imam Bukhari International Research Center as part of an international scholarship program, have paid a visit to the ancient and magnificent city of Bukhara.
As part of their visit, the researchers first explored the Museum of Fine Arts, where they became acquainted with the rich and unique collection of this cultural institution. The museum’s manuscript archives significantly enriched their ongoing academic research with valuable historical materials.
Their next destination was the Mir-i-Arab Madrasah, a renowned Islamic educational institution. There, they familiarized themselves with the activities of the institution, including its library holdings, historical manuscripts, and methodological resources.
The researchers also visited Bukhara State University, where they engaged in scholarly dialogue with professors and researchers specializing in Islamic source studies. During the discussions, they had the opportunity to exchange experiences, address questions of mutual interest, and explore prospects for future collaboration between the institutions and scholars involved.
The visit to Bukhara was rich in scientific and cultural exchanges, and also led to several agreements aimed at strengthening international cooperation.
The researchers’ internship at the Imam Bukhari International Scintific Research Center is still ongoing, providing further opportunities for in-depth study and academic collaboration.
