Uzbekistan delegation embarks on a business trip to Great Britain

On the first day of the trip, a round table was organized at the Al-Furqan Foundation, which specializes in the study and cataloging of ancient manuscripts and lithographic works, with the participation of a delegation consisting of the heads of the Center for Islamic Civilization in Uzbekistan, the Imam Bukhari, Imam Moturidi, Imam Termizi international scientific research centers, and the International Islamic Academy. The participants of the event were provided with detailed information about the large-scale reforms being implemented in the religious and educational sphere in New Uzbekistan, measures aimed at ensuring religious tolerance, and important initiatives. The results of cooperation with scientific research centers in Uzbekistan were summarized during the meeting.

Sali Shahsiwari, director of the Al-Furqan Foundation, highly appreciated the work of the President of Uzbekistan in studying ancient written sources and conveying the scientific and spiritual heritage of great scholars to the people.

The meeting discussed the development of cooperation between the Al-Furqan Foundation and research centers in Uzbekistan in verious directions, such as:

– Organizing training seminars on cataloging and digitizing manuscripts for specialists in source studies at the International Islamic Academy of Uzbekistan;

– Publishing a catalog of manuscripts stored in the fund of the Imam Bukhari International Scientific Research Center in collaboration with the British side;

– Providing new publications of research institutions in Uzbekistan to the Al-Furqan Foundation, and in turn, the foundation’s new catalog collections to research centers in Uzbekistan;

– Creating an electronic catalog in Uzbek and English based on the project “Works of Termizi Scholars”;

– Publishing articles by British scientists in scientific journals of research centers in Uzbekistan.

The event featured a presentation of a collection of albums entitled “Masterpieces of Uzbekistan’s Cultural Heritage in World Collections”, new publications from the Imam Bukhari, Imam Termizi, and Imam Maturidi international scientific research centers, the International Islamic Academy of Uzbekistan, in particular, Imam Maturidi’s “Kitab at-Tawhid” published in Jordan.

At the end of the meeting, a memorandum of cooperation was signed between the Al-Furqan Foundation and the Imam Bukhari International Scientific Research Center.

Meetings of the delegation in a number of scientific and cultural institutions of Great Britain are continuing.
