Ravshan Elmurodov, a researcher who completed a training program in Turkey, conducted a seminar titled “Training at the Institute of Islamic Thought: Skills and Results” at the Imam Bukhari International Scientific Research Center.
The seminar, organized for the center’s researchers, featured a lecture by R. Elmurodov, a researcher at the Institute of Islamic Thought.
The speaker began by providing information about the institute and the research facilities available there.
He emphasized that the institute leadership highly values the collaborative relationship established with the Imam Bukhari International Scientific Research Center. This collaboration was initiated during the visit of the Center Director, Shovosil Ziyodov, to the institute in November 2021, and was formalized by a memorandum of understanding. Professor Mehmet Görmez, director of the institute, expressed his positive outlook on broad prospects for cooperation in scientific areas in an interview with the Center’s official website.
The “Movarounnahr Summer Seminars,” an annual series of practical training courses, saw participation exclusively from Uzbek scholars in its first iteration in 2022. In subsequent years, researchers from Kyrgyzstan also joined.
The “Third Movarounnahr Summer Seminars” this year witnessed the participation of nearly 30 researchers from scientific institutions in Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, and Tatarstan.
The speaker shared his acquired knowledge and skills from the training course at the seminar. He discussed key aspects of the training he received in August 2024 in areas such as usul al-fiqh, usul al-hadith, logic, Islamic philosophy, and the achievements of Movarounnahr scholars in science, which were conducted in Arabic and Turkish.
The Center’s director, Dr. Shovosil Ziyodov, highlighted the importance of the training program as a vital component of their collaborative activities. He expressed confidence in the continuation of this exchange of experience.
