There is a great need for cooperation

The delegation headed by Yahya Sergio Pallavicini, the vice-president of the Islamic religious society of Italy “CORIES”, imam of the Al-Wahid Mosque in Milan, visited the Imam Bukhari International Research Center on July 8.

The guests were welcomed by the director of the Center, Shovosil Zidov. The staff of the delegation got acquainted with the work of the Centre Museum and the library. The exhibits and book fund aroused great interest in them.

After that, there was a dialogue between the leadership of the Center and representatives of the Italian delegation. In it, Sh. Ziyadov gave information about the goals and tasks of the Center, the scientific research processes being carried out today.

The head of the delegation, Yahya Sergio Pallavicini, praised the activity of the Center and offered to establish mutual cooperation on projects to further improve inter-ethnic and inter-religious relations in the future.
During the conversation, the necessity and urgency of ensuring religious tolerance and inter-ethnic harmony, fighting against radicalism, organizing international conferences and online seminars aimed at wide dissemination of the true nature of Islam, and conducting collaborative research in the field of hadith studies were emphasized. The parties also exchanged views on organizing the trip of representatives of scientific centers in Uzbekistan to Italy and establishing cooperation with similar organizations, as well as ensuring the participation of researchers from the two countries in the “Tolerance Week” events dedicated to the International Day of Tolerance on November 16.
The dialogue took place in a friendly and constructive spirit.
