Ulanbek Kalmurza Uulu, the first winner of this year’s international scholarship named after Imam Bukhari, a researcher at the Kyrgyz-Turkish “Manas” University in Bishkek, came to the Center for a scientific internship.
The fellow was met by the head of the Center, Shavosil Ziyadov, and spoke about the goals of the internship and the essence of his scientific research.
The Kyrgyz researcher intends to continue working on his doctoral dissertation (PhD) on the topic “The Khorezm Hanafi School” in Uzbekistan in the next two months. During the internship, he planned to further enrich his scientific work through the use of electronic copies of manuscripts from the Center’s fund and manuscripts stored in world funds. Ulanbek Kalmurza Uulu, who conducted almost half of his research in Turkey and Kazakhstan, plans to visit scientific institutions in Tashkent, Bukhara, Nukus and Khiva to gain knowledge and experience.
According to the program, the practitioner will give a presentation and seminar at the Center.
As of 2022, 11 researchers from different countries have completed scientific internships at the Center as part of the scholarship program. This year, 8 foreign guests are expected to improve their qualifications as part of the program.
