Currently, a delegation from the Imam Bukhari International Scientific Research Center is on a business trip to Moscow at the invitation of the local Muslim religious institution named after Imam Muhammad Bukhari in Moscow.
A memorandum of understanding on cooperation was signed between the center and this institution in May of this year, according to which a number of joint projects will be implemented.
In March 2021, in an institution created within the Spiritual Administration of Muslims of Moscow, more than 300 full-time students and more than 1,500 students study online.
During the visit, members of the delegation got acquainted with the activities of the institution. Director, Umid Mamtaliev, highly appreciated the scientific works published as a result of the Center’s activities in the direction of consistent study and widespread promotion of the scientific heritage of Transoxiana scientists, and expressed a desire to translate them into Russian and other languages in the future.
As part of the visit, the “Day of Uzbekistan” event was held at the Dar cultural center in Moscow, together with the Imam Bukhari International Scientific Research Center, the Embassy of Uzbekistan in the Russian Federation and the Spiritual Administration of Muslims of Russia.
On the occasion of the 31st anniversary of the adoption of the Constitution of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the National Anthem, employees of the Embassy of Uzbekistan in the Russian Federation, employees of the Spiritual Administration of Muslims of Russia, Center of Uzbek language at the Moscow State Linguistic Institute and University Cultural Center, All-Russian public organization “Assembly of the Peoples of Russia”, leaders of the Moscow branch non-governmental non-profit organization “World Youth Association of Uzbekistan” participated in the event.
The event was attended by director of the Center Shovosil Ziyodov, researchers Jonibek Jumaev and Bayozkhon Mahmudov, who provided information on the results of reforms carried out in Uzbekistan in the field of religion and education, as well as ensuring religious tolerance and interethnic harmony, as well as the achievements achieved as a result of the Center’s activities.
The participants recognized the important role of the event in further strengthening cultural ties between the two countries and in accelerating scientific cooperation in the religious and educational sphere.
