At the 6th summit of the Council for Cooperation and Confidence Building Measures in Asia held on October 6, 2022 in Astana, the head of Uzbekistan put forward the initiative to find solutions to current problems together with representatives of different ages of the world community. Accordingly, on October 11-13, the 6th meeting of the Youth Council, the Forum of Young Leaders and the first meeting of the “Dialogue of Generations” took place in Samarkand.
These conferences were organized by the Ministries of Foreign Affairs and Youth Policy and Sports of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the Youth Agency, the UN and the Council for Cooperation and Confidence Building Measures in Asia in order to expand international cooperation in the field of youth, politics, and strengthen mutual friendship between the youth of the Council member states and observer countries.
The conference was attended by officials of government bodies responsible for the implementation of the State Youth Policy, heads of youth public organizations, international experts, representatives of ministries and departments, non-profit organizations and national media of our country, as well as researchers from the International Scientific Research Center Imam Bukhari Shukrullo Umarov and Jonibek Jumaev gave lectures on the topics “The experience of the Council member states in organizing meaningful leisure time for youth in the fight against terrorism” and “The role of the media in the fight against radicalization.”
