The pilgrimage tourism fair and exhibition were held yesterday at the Mirzo Ulugbek madrasa in Registan Square in cooperation with the Administration of Samarkand region. At its opening, the work carried out in the country in the following years in connection with developing its tourism potential, including pilgrimage tourism, was mentioned. It was noted that the event is significant in highlighting the possibilities of pilgrimage tourism in the region.
At this event, an exhibition corner of the Imam Bukhari International Scientific Research Center was organized as part of the implementation of the tasks defined in the Resolution of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan dated April 26, 2023 “Additional measures to further develop the tourism potential of the Republic and further increase the number of local and foreign tourists”.
In the pavilion, books and pamphlets published by the Center, examples of Arabic calligraphy, the art of Islamic calligraphy, and photos related to the region’s pilgrimage tourism potential were displayed.
The exhibition made a great impression on foreign and local participants.
