Dr. Yayai Kawahara, associate professor of the University of Tokyo, researcher of the research development department of the Asian Research Library, Moriyama Teruaki, professor of the School of Theology at Doshisha University, and a group of Japanese experts visited to Imam Bukhari International Scientific Research Center.
The director of the Center, Doctor of History Shovosil Ziyadov welcomed the guests and introduced them closely to the museum, library and scientific processes of our center. Japanese scholars expressed interest at the museum’s manuscripts and library collection. They were especially impressed by rare sources from the treasury of manuscripts.
During the conversation, the Japanese researchers noted that they were satisfied with the created conditions at the Center and the scope of the work being done in terms of working with manuscripts and their research, digitization and cataloging.
Possibilities of establishing cooperation in the field of research were discussed in the future. The guests were presented with a collection of literature published by the Center.
