These materials have not been studied in detail yet. There are also a great amount of precious historical and literary materials concerning the outlook of the poet. For instance, in the literary work by Ubaydulla Islamqul oghli Alamkash titled “Bayazi Alamkash”, Sufi Allayar is described as a great sufferer of the untimely death of his beloved brother Farhad Ataliq. Because his brother Farhad Ataliq was killed as a result of calumny and slander. Having read the muhammas consisting of five verses, we can imagine Sufi Allayar as a devoted and kind-hearted brother towards his close relative. He glorifies his brother as his pride and blood relative. He considers his brother to resemble the national heroes of his motherland and metaphorically compares him with a strong tiger, with a wavy river and huge mountains. He prides himself with the kindness and generosity of his brother, his manhood as well as his scholarly knowledge of the Holy Qur’an. He writes the following lines about his brother:

My dearest, my sweetest, my kindest one,

My heart, my soul, my blood, my bone,

As kind and merciful as Hatam himself you were,

Fearless at wars, as brave as Rustam you were,

How it happened that you found yourself among those evil ones.

My flower, my garden, that’s ever in bloom as in spring you were.

Of our parental endearments and deeds you remind me ever.

My close friend you were, my great, my honoured man you were.

My brain, my wealth, my kin, my all things I own you were.

And these memories set my brain on fire not only once.

If only these arrows which had made your body and heart bleed,

Would been directed to me, my dear brother, you are for me so sweet,

I ever have trust in you, you’d done nothing wrong to be blamed.

Now my woeful heart, make my eyes full of rains, they bitterly weep,

As they had seen how blood ran out of your torn body and coloured your face.

I wish not a single thorn would have gone deep into your body,

Let those hundreds of shafts tear my body; those pains I’d have borne easily.

If my Heaven, My Rahman shows me a pity to see you clearly.

With rays of my eyes, I lighten your soul immediately,

I’ll do my best to you, to a piece of my broken heart, my brother dear.

So, investigating the literary heritage of Sufi Allayar, the researcher should keep in mind that these verses need to be analyzed and studied attentively from different points of view.

Inayatulla Suvanqulov

Professor, Doctor of Philology

Sufi Allayar and Mashrab were great disseminators of the ideas and theories of the Naqshbandiya order.
