\u00a0<\/strong>An international conference was held of Islamic scholars on the theme “The Light coming From the Bottom of the Ages” on August 25 as part of the “Cultural Heritage Week” Uzbekistan – Crossroads of the Great Paths and Civilizations: Empires, Religions, and Cultures”.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

The international conference was opened by the vice-president of the Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Uzbekistan B.Abduhalimov.<\/p>\n

He noted that the events of the Week are attended by prominent foreign guests, eminent scholars and experts, and that the international community is interested in the cultural heritage of our country. The conference is important not only for Central Asia but also for the whole Eurasian continent.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

As noted in the speech of President Shavkat Mirziyoev at the Summit of the Conference on Interaction and Confidence Building Measures in Asia, the conference is a clear indication that the Center will be an effective platform for strengthening inter-religious harmony, enlightenment, and intercultural exchange.<\/p>\n

Reports were presented by representatives of international organizations such as IRCICA, UNESCO and academies of science in several countries, scholars of reputable Islamic research centers, heads of library collections of rare manuscripts and printed works.<\/p>\n

Within the framework of the event, there was the next – the presentation of volumes 14-15 of books and albums of the series \u201cBooks on monuments of Uzbekistan\u201d dedicated to monuments in Khorezm and Bukhara regions.<\/p>\n

The National Association of Electronic Mass Media of Uzbekistan (Uz NAEMM) and the BBC Uzbek Service presented the book, “The Anchor of the Anchor: Secrets and Realities.”<\/p>\n

Participants noted that the first week of Uzbekistan \u201cCrossroads of Great Roads and Civilizations: Empires, Religions, Cultures\u201d will help take the process of studying the history and culture of our country to a new level. After all, this great forum is an invaluable legacy of Maveraunnahr scholars, unique culture and art of our people. It provides an opportunity to bring together experts and scholars internationally, creating a holistic view of the world.<\/p>\n

The conference was continued by the participants of the conference, which was divided into sections.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe Art of Book and Art in the Book: Movarounnahr Manuscript Heritage\u201d, \u201cThe rich and varied written legacy of Uzbekistan – an important part of the world Islamic manuscripts\u201d, \u201cThe Cultural Heritage of Uzbekistan in the Collection of Oriental Library of God\u201d, “Central Asia at Cambridge”, “Indo-Uzbek Heritage in the Manuscript Collection at the National Museum of India”, “Cultural Heritage of Uzbekistan in the form of Islamic Manuscripts: Research, Documentation and Preservation”, Hungary Manuscripts reflecting Uzbekistan’s cultural heritage in the Democracy Library \u201d,\u201c The Maverannahr Manuscript Heritage in the Rampur Reza Library: An Introduction to the Tumor and Other Sources \u201d “, The Medieval Myths About Alexander the Great”, “The Role and Importance of Central Asian Nations in the Development of Islamic Civilization”, “Kelaj The lessons of history in building the ark: What can we learn from the golden age of Movarounnahr?<\/p>\n

In the second section entitled \u201cIslamic Architecture and Art – An integral part of World Civilization,\u201d scholars and experts say \u201cLegacy of the Great Silk Road in Ancient Gandhara: Mosque Books and Gemstones in North Pakistan\u201d, \u201cBible in Our Eyes\u201d, Ancient and Medieval Heritage and the Uzbek-American Expedition in Bukhara \u201d.<\/p>\n

The conference was a lively discussion, thanks to newly discovered historical data on science and culture, and contemporary interpretations of various facts.<\/p>\n

The guests got acquainted with the activities of Imam Bukhari International Research Center, reviewed exhibits in the institution’s museum and the rare works in the library. He highly evaluated the reforms carried out in Uzbekistan under the leadership of President Shavkat Mirziyayev.<\/p>\n
