A spiritual and educational meeting dedicated to this topic was held at the Imam Bukhari International Scientific-Research Center. At the event, Imam Muhammad Bashar Arafat, President of the Center for Exchange and Cooperation of Civilizations (CECF) in the United States, along with American researcher and prominent publicist John Kizer, shared important insights with the Center\u2019s scientific staff, the leadership of the Hadith Studies School, and students on the role of religious tolerance and cultural diplomacy in today\u2019s era of globalization.<\/span><\/p>\n

Muhammad Bashar first highlighted the international experience of his organization, drawing attention to the distinctive aspects of cultural diplomacy. He emphasized that the primary goal of the organization\u2019s activities is to build bridges of mutual trust among representatives of different peoples and religions through the exchange of scientific and practical experiences.<\/span><\/p>\n

According to the speaker, cultural dialogue should be approached independently of political processes, as a means of promoting pure humanity and goodwill. He noted that, wherever one goes in the world, cultural connections must always be given primary importance. He stressed that, in the current era, genuine human-to-human interaction is more important than technological achievements. Furthermore, he pointed out that the legacy of great scholars like Imam Bukhari establishes standards of mutual respect and high moral conduct, not only for Muslims but for all of humanity.<\/span><\/p>\n

American researcher and prominent essayist John Kizer spoke about the necessity of developing relations between international institutions and Islamic values. Drawing on his many years of research and observations, he regrettably noted that the connections of major international organizations with the scholarly community in the Muslim world are not active enough to meet the demands of the present time.<\/span><\/p>\n

John Kizer emphasized that achieving global peace is difficult without understanding Islamic diplomacy and its spiritual foundations. He expressed his satisfaction with meeting the staff of the Center and the students of the Hadith Studies School as part of the cooperation initiated with Uzbekistan since 2024. According to the researcher, genuine diplomacy begins with purifying one\u2019s soul from vices and approaching others with compassion and kindness. He noted that the grant projects offered by CECF are intended to support such scholarly and spiritual exchanges.<\/span><\/p>\n
