On September 23, 2024, a roundtable discussion titled \u201cThe Scientific Heritage of Imam Termiziy: Modern Research\u201d was held at the Imam Bukhari International Scientific Research Center.<\/span>
\nDuring the event, attended by researchers, the Director of the Center, Shovosil Ziyodov, spoke about the significance of the decree issued by the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan on August 15, 2024, regarding the celebration of the 1200th anniversary of Imam Termiziy’s birth.<\/span><\/p>\n


\nThe scientific staff of the Center listened to a presentation by researcher Nodir Qobilov on the topic.<\/span>
\nThe hadith scholar spent his life during what is known as the golden age of Islamic sciences, dedicated to gaining knowledge and practicing it. During his studies, he selflessly spent any precious wealth to glean knowledge and shared the results with other scholars. He devoted nearly 15 years of his life to travels in pursuit of knowledge and was recognized by his contemporaries as a “possessor of a strong memory,” having memorized 40 hadiths in one sitting and reciting them again. Imam Bukhari himself acknowledged his disciple Imam Termiziy by saying, \u201cI benefited more from you than you did from me.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n


\nThe scientific staff at the Imam Bukhari International Scientific Research Center has made significant efforts in researching the scholarly heritage of this great scholar. Since 2023, under the project \u201c10 Facts About Scholars,\u201d they have prepared and published a poster outlining 10 truths about Imam Termiziy’s life and work. Additionally, a pamphlet titled \u201cImam Termiziy\u201d has been published, which narrates the scholar’s life path and activities.<\/span><\/p>\n

Participants in the event discussed the scientific value and social-educational significance of the works of this hadith scholar, emphasizing that his teachings on integrity, justice, honesty, compassion, and other noble qualities have served as guiding principles for scholars throughout the centuries and can provide solutions to many of the challenges faced in our complex times.<\/span><\/p>\n
