On May 29, at the Imam Bukhari International Scientific Research Center, an international conference on “Central Asian Manuscripts in the Mongols and Timurid Periods (XIII-XV centuries)” was held in cooperation with the Institute of Oriental Studies named after Abu Rayhan Biruni of the Academy of Sciences of Uzbekistan, Samarkand State University and the Institute of Iranian Studies under the Austrian Academy of Sciences. <\/span>
\nScientists from Uzbekistan and Austria, as well as the USA, Russia, France, Germany, Turkey, Iran and Tajikistan, senior specialists in the field of manuscripts, researchers are participating in the conference.<\/span><\/p>\n


\nOn the first day of the conference, participants worked in such areas as \u201cSigns of Sufism in the margins of Central Asian manuscripts\u201d, \u201cLibraries and collections of Central Asian manuscripts\u201d, \u201cLaw and education in Central Asian manuscripts\u201d, \u201cMateriality\u201d of Central Asian manuscripts\u201d. Scientists exchanged views on current issues within the framework of the topic under discussion.<\/span><\/p>\n

According to experts, especially the manuscripts of the Mongol period have been studied relatively little, and now there is a strong need to research them in comparison with the sources related to the next gradual stages of history. Manuscripts copied in our region have been attracting the attention of not only local, but also foreign experts for a long time due to their uniqueness and different aspects from the sources of other countries.<\/span><\/p>\n


\nAt the conference, important comments were made on research conducted in Uzbekistan and abroad in scientific institutions and international organizations in this field.<\/span><\/p>\n
