The next online seminar in the series “Material Culture of the Zerafshan Valley” was held at the Imam Bukhari International Scientific Research Center in the cooperation with the Asien-Afrika-Institut of the Universit\u00e4t Hamburg (Germany). It was attended by employees of the Center, researchers and scientists from scientific institutions in our country and abroad.<\/span><\/p>\n


\nAt the seminar, Adjunct Professor of Hofstra University in the USA Elyor Karimov gave a lecture on the topic \u201cKnown and Unknown Kubraviya (based on the materials of Samarqand Waqf of Husayn Khorezmi).<\/span>
\nThe speaker gave complete information about the origin and spread of \u201cKubraviya\u201d, as well as about mature representatives in Central Asia, and also highlighted a number of contradictions and shortcomings found in studies of the social, political and economic history of the brotherhood.<\/span><\/p>\n


\nThe scientist by describing the scheme of actions for the spread of the sect, the correspondence of the leaders, the scientist explained the personality, life and activities of Husayn Khorezmi, the authorized representative and adviser to the Timurid ruler, clarified a number of issues. According to the researcher, Khorezmi\u2019s work \u201cSamarkand Waqf\u201d will shed new light on the unknown pages of the history of \u201cKubraviya\u201d in Central Asia. This work, which has great historical significance, containing a list of lands, gardens and mills, conditions for using waqf territories, the composition of the ministers of the khanate, their duties and annual financial allocations, shows that the Kubraviya sect has preserved its authenticity. In the last thirty years of his life, Kamoliddin Husayn Khorezmi (d. 958\/1551), the main 16th-century Kubrov sheikh in Central Asia, especially western Khorezm, strengthened the Kubrov tradition and won a high political position in the region.<\/span><\/p>\n

<\/span>
\nEven after his death, the results of his activities lasted for almost half a century.<\/span>
\nThe seminar continued with intense questions and answers.<\/span><\/p>\n
