Dr. Hamza Bakri, a scholar in theology and Islamic philosophy, Professor of Ibn Khaldun University in Turkey, visited the Imam Bukhari International Scientific Research Center.<\/span><\/p>\n

The guest was welcomed by the Director of the Center, Candidate of Historical Sciences, Associate Professor Shovosil Ziyodov, deputy director of the Center, Doctor of Philosophy in History (Ph.D.) Otabek Muhammadiev.<\/span><\/p>\n

At the beginning of the visit, the Jordanian scholar was introduced to the activities of the Center and was shown rare manuscripts kept in the library and museum. The center staff is working in close scientific cooperation with Dr. Bakri. In particular, in translating Abu Mansur Moturidi’s “Tawilat al-Qur’an” into Uzbek, the scholars held several online conversations with the Islamic scholar and used his recommendations.<\/span><\/p>\n

At the end of the translation, the foreign scientist said: that the work of the Center’s staff was “a great achievement of Uzbek scientists.” In addition, the Center and Ibn Khaldun University have been organizing a series of online seminars with the participation of Bakri on the stages of formation of Moturidism, the works of Imam Moturidi that have come down to us, and the state of their study today. During the visit, a scientific seminar was held with the scientists’ participation on the theme ” views of Imam Abu Hanifa and Imam Bukhari’s on the issue of faith”.<\/span><\/p>\n

It was attended by the leadership and researchers of the Center, the head of the Higher School of Hadith under the Muslim Board of Uzbekistan, teachers, students, theologians, imams of districts of the Samarkand region, and several religious institutions. At the beginning of the seminar, the speakers noted that such scientific and educational conferences organized with the participation of well-known scholars are based on such noble ideas as further education of our enlightened people in the field of religion, and strengthening the knowledge of students.<\/span><\/p>\n

In the main part of the conference was hearing Professor Hamza Bakri’s report on the topic. In his lecture made a speech, about Abu Hanifa, one of the four great mujtahid scholars of the Ahl-Sunnah wa’l-Jama’ah, the founder of the Hanafi school of jurisprudence, doctrinal issues, including the balance of faith.<\/span><\/p>\n

The scholar also explained his views based on scientific evidence, noting that although the approach of scholars in the past has been different they have advanced an ideology, an honorable idea of \u200b\u200bstarting people towards pure faith. The researcher gave detailed answers to the questions asked by the researchers of the Center, teachers, and students of the school of Hadith.<\/span><\/p>\n

The seminar was broadcast live on the Center’s Youtube<\/span> <\/a>video hosting page. This ensured the online participation of more than 30 representatives of religious education institutions in the country. \u00a0At the end of the seminar, the foreign scientist was presented with souvenirs on behalf of the Imam Bukhari International Scientific Research Center. Dr. Bakri also donated copies of religious literature to the Central Library. At the end of the visit, Professor Hamza Bakri gave an interview for the Center\u2019s website and posed for a group photo with the workshop participants.<\/span><\/p>\n
