Following the results of the meeting of the Council of Heads of the Founder States of the International Fund for Saving the Aral Sea, held in the city of Turkmenbashi, a briefing was held for representatives of the mass media.<\/p>\n

The heads of states noted that the parties agreed to work together for overcoming the consequences of the Aral tragedy, improving the socio-economic situation in the Aral Sea region, addressing water and environmental problems in the region.<\/p>\n

Shavkat Mirziyoyev noted that the Aral problem is an urgent issue concerning the life and future of the whole region, issues that have been accumulated over a long period of time were openly and constructively discussed during the negotiations, it has been decided to switch from words to practical action.<\/p>\n
