On November 19, Peter Hefele, Director, Asia, Europe and Oceania at the German Konrad Adenauer Foundation and Ronnie Hayne head of the Central Asia Representative visited the Imam Bukhari International Scientific Research Center.
Guests first toured the museum. Unique historical exhibits, wall paintings about the life of the great thinker, the words of the director of the Center Sh. Ziyodov about the work of the sultan of hadiths, the hard work of many years impressed the representatives of the Konrad Adenauer Foundation.
Guests from Germany visited the Library of Central and were acquainted with the manuscripts and fossils stored there. They were informed that the shelves were getting richer year by year, all catalogs were being cataloged and their facsimile copies were being made.
It is known that the Islamic Development Bank provided a grant for the purchase of a modern scanner used to create an electronic database of rare manuscripts.
On this basis, the Center received a modern digital book scanner manufactured by Zeutschel in Germany. Representatives of the Konrad Adenauer Foundation also watched the equipment with great interest.
During the conversation with the management of the Center, the sides exchanged views on cooperation in organizing and conducting international conferences, technical and technological support of the Center, development of scientific contacts between Uzbekistan and Germany on the exchange of experience and advanced training of scientists.
