Expansion of cooperation – period requirement

Imam Bukhari International Scientific Research Center was visited by a delegation led by Dr. Ahmad Qutlikhan, Rector of Pamukkale University in Denizli, Turkey.

The guests were welcomed by the director of the Center, Shovosil Ziyadov, and the rector of the School of Hadith Science, Barot Omonov. During the visit, a round-table discussion was organized with the participation of the members of the delegation, the management and scientific staff of the Center, the Turkish laureates of the scholarship named after Imam Bukhari, and the rector of the School of Hadith. Issues of further development of relations between scientific institutions were discussed there.

The initiative to establish cooperation between the two educational institutions was put forward during the visit of the head of the Center to Turkey in November 2021, when its directions, perspectives and practical aspects were agreed upon. Based on the Memorandum of Understanding signed between the Center and the University in August 2022, many scientific projects were implemented in cooperation. In particular, in November of the same year, the Director of the Center participated in the international symposium held in Pamukkale on “Youth and faith issues in the 21st century: pilgrimages”. In December, two researchers of the Center advanced their qualifications at the Institute of Islamic Sciences of the University. In October 2023, the Center’s delegation held a meeting with the University’s leadership in Denizli, where the issue of further increasing the weight of joint projects was considered. The participants of the roundtable exchanged opinions on the current state and prospects of cooperation and discussed the issues of further expansion of the scope of jointly implemented scientific projects. Rector Ahmad Qutlikhan emphasized that the University he leads is always open for researchers of our country, and all conditions are provided for those seeking knowledge. During the conversation, it was reported to establish cooperation relations with the School of Hadith Science, to involve the teaching staff and students of this higher educational institution in the summer training programs organized by the University, and in turn, to develop a scientific internship program for the scientists of the University’s Institute of Islamic Sciences at the School of Hadith Science proposals approved. The parties considered the issues of starting a series of online seminars, combining forces and opportunities to research the scientific heritage of scholars whose activities have not been sufficiently studied, and organizing the 1st International Imam Bukhari Conference in Turkey with the participation of not only scientists of Turkic countries, but also representatives of the entire Muslim community.

The roundtable discussion took place in a friendly and constructive spirit.
