AGREEMENT OF COOPERATION STRENGTHENS RELATIONSHIPS

A memorandum of understanding was signed between the Imam Bukhari International Scientific Research Center and the United States Institute of Peace. Founded by the United States Congress, the Institute is an independent anti-conflict and global security organization that works to prevent future conflicts and crises and to build local capacity for peaceful conflict resolution with governments and civil society institutions. Cooperation between Center and Institution was established for the first time in 2018.
The visit of a delegation consisting Scott Worden is director of Afghanistan and Central Asia Programs at the Institute, Senior program officer, Barmak Pazhwak and staff from the U.S. Embassy in Uzbekistan to the Imam Bukhari International Scientific Research Center created practical opportunities for joint cooperation.
Over the past period, together with the Institute of Peace, a number of seminars and trainings have been organized and conducted aimed at teaching new pedagogical methods on the topics “Pedagogy of Peace”, “Strategic Planning and Implementation”, as well as increasing research potential and promotion methods.
The memorandum signed between the two scientific institutions will serve to further strengthen mutual cooperation and expand the weight and scale of joint projects that will be implemented in the future.
