On November 16, on the occasion of the “International Day of Tolerance,” an international conference was held in our capital on the topic “Interethnic and interreligious tolerance – an important factor in effective cooperation”.
The conference was attended by heads of government, religious and public associations, national cultural centers, higher educational and scientific institutions, representatives of non-governmental organizations, as well as the director of the Imam Bukhari International Scientific Research Center Shovosil Ziyodov gave a lecture on the topic Enlightenment against ignorance.
The speaker analyzed the most appropriate and effective ways to combat ignorance and provided information about the activities carried out by the Center’s staff in this direction. The speaker mentioned the opportunities created to further enhance religious education in our country, as well as the successes achieved as a result of in-depth research and widespread dissemination of the rich scientific and spiritual heritage of our ancestors, who made a great contribution to the development of not only Islamic sciences, but also the entire human civilization .
Recognizing the results of the religious and educational reforms carried out in our country, Sh. Ziyodov cited the opinions of the heads of a number of prestigious international organizations and scientists from major scientific institutions and emphasized that our country, like the activities of other similar institutions in our country, is boldly moving forward, without retreating from ideas of “enlightenment against ignorance.”
