The event of this year is devoted to the theme “Contribution of Muslim Scholars to Religion, humanity, science, and Education”. In that, B. Amonov, a researcher at the Center, made a lecture on the topic “Comments written by scholars from Movarounnahr on Sahih al-Bukhari”.
In the lecture, the life of Imam Bukhari, and scientific heritage in different periods, along with the activities carried out in international research centers established to study and convey to the general public the scientific heritage of scholars such as Imam Bukhari, Imam Moturidi, and Imam Termizi, who made an incomparable contribution to the development of science and Islamic civilization in Uzbekistan were discussed. In particular, information was given about many works written in his collection of hadith “Sahih al-Bukhari “, numerous classifications dedicated to the life of Bukhari, his teachers, and narrators.
About 250 commentaries of different volumes and importance have been written on Sahih al-Bukhari. The purpose of my research is to analyze the commentaries based on the Hanafi school. “Umdatul Qari” is one of the most famous commentaries on this subject. In addition, 9 other commentaries written by Movarounnahr Muhaddis were identified. All this is important because it was written in different periods, the scientist said in his lecture.
The lecture made great interest among the participants of the seminar.
