TALKS THE INSTITUTE OF PEACE OF USA WITH RESEARCH STAFF THE IBISRC

On 5th December, the meeting continued, between the Imam Bukhari International Scientific Research Center and the US Peace Institute.

Pamela Aol, Barmak Pazhvak, Melissa Notcell, Matthew Parks and Derya Zameseva took part in the talks.

At the beginning of the meeting a short film about the Imam Bukhari International Research Center was presented. After that, representatives of the United States Institute of Peace Barmak Pazhvak and Pamela Aol gave more detailed information about the main style of work of their institute. During the conversation, both sides put forward their proposals. It was suggested that the role of religion in working with people should be separate than from other institutions, especially in raising the level of knowledge of local staff and in preventing the difficulties of qualified professionals during the transfer of their knowledge.

The proposals made by the scientific staff of the IBISRC, Sh. Umarov, T. Evadullaev, O. Mukhammadiyev, O. Rustamov, O. Yusupov, and O. Nigmatov aroused great interest among visitors.

During the discussion, a presentation of books published by the Center staff took place. Representatives of the US Institute for Peace stressed that the IBISRC  team has many experts in their field, and this can be a great help for them. Their main goal is to strengthen cooperation with the research staff of the Center. Experience and knowledge of local experts suggest that they can be used in the  places in the region.

At the end of the meeting, all proposals were agreed for further cooperation. The United States Institute of Peace and Center staff agreed on this and came to the conclusion that a lot of work remains to be done in the future and we are pleased to continue cooperation.
