THE HEAD OF THE IRCICA WAS A GUEST OF THE IBISRC

Today, the general director of the Research Centre for Islamic History, Art and Culture (IRCICA), of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) Professor, Dr. Mahmud Erol Kılıç visited the IBISRC.

The guest was greeted by the director of the Center Shovosil Ziyodov and several scientists. And was introduced to the activities of the museum. The head of one of the largest scientific institutions in the modern Islamic world expressed great interest in the exhibits in the museum, noting that he was pleased that the manuscripts are preserved in such high quality that they do not differ from the original.

In the museum’s library, the guest viewed copies of works by Egyptian and Turkish scholars. In particular, the Islamic encyclopedia published in Turkey, as well as a facsimile copy of Imam Bukhari’s “Sahih Bukhari”, and several other publications made a deep impression on the foreign scholar.

The guest also got acquainted with the conditions created for scientific activities at the Center.

During the visit, a dialogue on bilateral cooperation was held. In it, Sh. Ziyodov briefed on the activities of the Center following its goals and objectives, in particular, the current state of relations with many scientific institutions around the world, including several universities and research centers in Turkey. Dr. Mahmud Erol Kılıç said he was interested in intensifying cooperation between the two centers. The parties also exchanged views on the organization of joint international conferences, the establishment of a program of mutual exchange of researchers, and other similar promising projects.

At the end of the visit, the head of IRCICA was presented with souvenirs on behalf of the Center.

The high-ranking guest signed the Center’s guest book.
