As we reported earlier, the International Scientific Conference “Studying the heritage of righteous path of Imam Maturidi” was held in the capital of Turkey in Ankara, October 25-28. At the international scientific conference over 100 lectures and negotiations were heard. It was attended by researchers and doctors studying the legacy of Imam Maturidi from Uzbekistan, USA, Germany, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Afghanistan and other countries. Speakers noted that Samarkand was at the center of all Muslims as a guide.
Representatives of Uzbekistan also participated in this conference with lectures. Deputy Director of the International Research Center Imam Bukhari Sh. Umarov made a presentation on the topic “True and reasonable evidence in the teachings of Maturidi.” In Uzbekistan, which has a great legacy of Imam Moturidi and a country of variability, work on this subject has also been reported on newly built research centers and educational institutions of Imam Bukhari and Imam Tirmizi.
Associate Professor of the International Islamic Academy of Uzbekistan S. Akilov also gave information about the works written by the Mutakkalim (Islamic philosophers) Abu Muin Nasafi and other Islamic philosophies that grew up after the spread of theology after Imam Moturadi.The American researcher from the teachings of Imam Maturidi, Dr. Philip Doroll, professor Angelica Brodyrsin from Germany, professor Sonmas Kutlu from Turkey, and others explained the themes of reason, justice, wisdom and will, which are important questions of the study of Maturidia.
The conference was organized by the Parliamentary Assembly of the Turkic nations, which was attended by officials of the Turkish government and officials of the Ministry of Religious Affairs of Turkey. At the end of the conference, the book “The Samarkand Scholar” prepared by the staff of the Imam Bukhari Center was presented in the library of the Turkish parliament.The conference was very interesting and useful, especially because it was widely studied by scientists from Central Asia in promoting the purely Islamic faith.
