A memorandum of understanding was signed between the Imam Bukhari International Research Center and the Sunan Kalijaga State Islamic University of Indonesia. On this occasion, a solemn ceremony was held at the embassy building with the participation of the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Indonesia to Uzbekistan, Ms. Siti Ruhaini Juhayatin.
Speaking at the ceremony, the Ambassador underscored the importance of strengthening bilateral cultural and educational ties and expanding academic cooperation. She noted that the partnership aligns with the strategic objectives of both institutions and will contribute to elevating joint academic and educational initiatives to a qualitatively new level.
The memorandum was signed by Professor Shovosil Ziyodov, Director of the Imam Bukhari International Scientific Research Center, and Professor Nurhaidi Hasan, Rector of Sunan Kalijaga State Islamic University.
Under the terms of the five-year agreement, the two institutions will collaborate in organizing scientific seminars, conferences, and other academic events; facilitating the exchange of expertise and best practices; enhancing the professional development of academic and research staff; and implementing joint research projects and educational programs.
The ceremony concluded with the exchange of commemorative gifts, reflecting the spirit of friendship and cooperation between the two institutions.
