Within the framework of the systematic preparations for the International Scientific Conference “Rediscovering Imam al-Bukhari,” being held in Samarkand, a Memorandum of Understanding was signed between the Imam Bukhari International Scientific Research Center and the Hadith History Society of Turkey. This document serves as an important legal framework for elevating academic cooperation in the field of Hadith studies between the scholarly institutions of the two countries to a new level. The memorandum was signed by Shovosil Ziyodov, Director of the Imam Bukhari International Scientific Research Center, and Mehmet Emin Özafşar, Chairman of the Hadith History Society.
Under this five-year agreement, the parties agreed to facilitate the exchange of scholars and researchers, promote the sharing of academic expertise, undertake joint research programs and international conferences in the field of Hadith studies, and ensure the regular exchange of academic resources, scholarly journals, and newly published literature.
The agreement also outlines several important areas of cooperation, including providing academic support to undergraduate and graduate students in their research activities and organizing joint language courses to enhance scholarly engagement and academic exchange.
This strategic partnership, formalized on the eve of the conference, represents a significant practical step toward the systematic study and global promotion of the rich scholarly legacy of Imam al-Bukhari.
