The second day of the international scientific-practical conference titled “The Formation of Islamic Civilization in Transoxiana,” organized at the Imam Bukhari International Scientific Research Center, was likewise marked by dynamic scholarly debates and substantive presentations. Scholars analyzed, through contemporary interpretations, the role of Transoxianan intellectual traditions within world civilization, offering comprehensive insights into the fields of Qur’anic exegesis, cultural cooperation, and the significance of universal human values embodied in the legacy of Imam al-Bukhari.
One of the most notable aspects of the conference was the focus on the use of digital technologies in Islamic studies. In particular, discussions on the analytical potential and practical applications of artificial intelligence opened new horizons for the study of rare manuscripts and the field of source studies. The modernization of methodological approaches in this area, along with the effective use of innovative tools, was recognized as a key priority for future research.
In addition, the event featured presentations of the latest scholarly research on the works of eminent figures such as Imam al-Bukhari, Imam al-Tirmidhi, and Najmuddin Kubra.
In the concluding phase, important recommendations were adopted concerning the support of research projects by young scholars from Uzbekistan and abroad, as well as the advancement of international cooperation to a qualitatively new level.
Thus, the prestigious international conference successfully concluded its work. Certificates were awarded to the active participants.
The two-day international dialogue once again demonstrated the status of Samarkand as a global center of scholarship and culture. The outcomes of this conference – significant not only for the reconstruction of historical realities but also for promoting the humanistic essence of Islamic civilization—will serve as an important guiding framework for the systematic continuation of research in this field.
