On May 7 this year, the US Institute for Peace’s director for a program of Central Asia and Afghanistan Scott Vorden, a senior researcher at the US Institute of Peace Mr Pajvak and a delegation of US embassy staff in Uzbekistan visited Samarkand.
Guests were well accepted by the director of the Imam Bukhari International scientific-research centre SH. Ziyodov, deputy director Sh. Umarov and other researchers. Imam Bukhari international scientific-research centre was organized and informed about its tasks, after which they were invited to the museum, unique exhibits of IBISRC, unique manuscripts and lithographs of Imam Bukhari’s various times.
At the time, in the conference hall of the Imam Bukhari international scientific-research centre with the US Institute of Piece a seminar-training on the theme “Religious tolerance and the role of religious education in combating extremism”, is being on, researcher of the IBISRC and the representatives’ of Central Asian Republics.
