Despite the fact that Uzbekistan and Germany are at a distance of 5000 kilometers, common interests, common ideas, hardworking and noble people of the two countries can solve very complex issues in ensuring a peaceful and prosperous life. In January 2019, the official visit of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan to Germany strengthened relations between the two countries and brought them to a new level.
Delegation of the Islamic Civilization Center in Uzbekistan and Imam Bukhari international sceintific-research center are holding series meetings in Berlin, the capital of Germany in international research centers, prestigious universities, research centers, museums and manuscripts. The purpose of the visit is establish mutually beneficial relations between Islamic educational and research institutions of the two countries. Study of the unique works of our great ancestors in Germany, holding joint conferences and scientific seminars.
It should be noted that the Free University of Berlin is one of the four most prestigious universities in Germany. About 35,000 students study social, humanities and natural sciences. Gerhard Ertl, Herter Muller, Reinhard Zelte and many prominent scientists, government and public figures are Nobel Prize winners and outstanding professors and students of German universities.
Konrad Hirschler Doctor of Sciences said “Undoubtedly, the role of Central Asian scientists in the development of Islamic science is peerless, in particular, the rich cultural heritage and ancient manuscripts of Uzbekistan attract scientists and researchers from around the world”.
An agreement was reached with the Institute of Islamic Studies of the Free University of Berlin on the exchange of teachers and researchers, the attraction of German scientists to Uzbekistan, the organization of trainings and the implementation of special PhD programs.
These agreements are important, when much attention is paid to the training of Islamic scholars in Uzbekistan.
