On October 18, Tashkent hosted the Cultural Heritage Week on ” The Phenomenon of the Eastern Renaissance: States, Religions, and Civilizations.” Within the framework of the week, organized at the initiative of the Center for Islamic Civilization in Uzbekistan in cooperation with the Imam Bukhari International Scientific Research Center and a number of foreign and local organizations, agencies and institutions, it is planned to hold conferences, seminars, forums, exhibitions and presentations in various fields. More than 100 foreign scientists and experts, including heads of international cultural organizations, foreign museums and libraries, are expected to participate in the event.
Jonibek Jumayev, a researcher of Imam Bukhari International Scientific Research Center, also participated in the opening ceremony of the week.
The main goal of holding this colorful and interesting conference is to strengthen international communication and exchange of knowledge, to develop new joint projects with foreign partners aimed at preserving, learning and popularizing the country’s cultural heritage.
During the week, the State Museum of the History of the Timurids, the Institute of Oriental Studies named after Abu Rayhan Beruni, the National Library named after Alisher Navoi and the State Museum of the History of Uzbekistan will display unique expositions dedicated to the rich historical and cultural heritage of our country.
The events will last until October 27.
