RESEARCHER OF THE CENTER ON INTERNSHIP IN GERMANY

Barot Amonov, a researcher of the Imam Bukhari International Scientific Research Center, has begun a scientific internship at the Asien-Afrika-Institut of the Universität Hamburg in Germany. A representative of the center won a competition announced by the Agency for Innovative Development under the Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Innovation of the Republic of Uzbekistan in 2023 to send young scientists to short-term scientific internships in leading foreign scientific organizations.

The researcher met with Dr. Stefan Heidmann, a professor of the Asian-Afrika-Institute of the Universität Hamburg. During the dialogue, it was noted that the rational policy of Uzbekistan with the countries of the West and East and agreements on mutual cooperation based on contracts strengthen the prestige of our country in the international arena.
In particular, the “Action Plan” for approved cooperation between scientific centers and cultural institutions of Uzbekistan and Germany for the period 2019-2023 serves as the basis for the implementation of joint projects between scientific institutions of the two countries.

The conversation highlighted the results of the online seminars “Material Culture of the Zerafshan Valley” which being held from 2020 on the basis of a memorandum signed between the Center and the Institute, and also discussed plans for the future.

B. Amonov participated in a conference dedicated to the study of finds, historical monuments, written monuments and sources of the early Islamic era at the Roman-Islamic Center for Comparative Studies of the Empire and Transcultural Studies of this institute.

At the conference, which was attended by scientists and researchers from the universities of Cambridge, New York, Michigan, a number of higher educational institutions and museum foundations in Germany, a representative of the Center discussed the results of reforms being implemented in Uzbekistan in various spheres: including spiritual and religious educational front, as well as the Center’s cooperation with similar organizations abroad, gave information about the established relationships of cooperation in various scientific and educational fields, in particular in the preservation, repair, translation and publication of manuscripts.

The researcher’s scientific internship will last 3 months.
