A delegation headed by Omer Çomakli, Rector of Ataturk University in Turkey, visited the Imam Bukhari International Scientific Research Center.
University located in the city of Erzurum, it was founded in the 50s of the last century, is considered one of the most prestigious educational institutions in Turkey and is in the top 5 percent of the best universities in the international ranking, and in the country in the top 20 higher education institutions. Today, more than 3.5 thousand teachers teach there for more than 50 thousand students. The University has 18 colleges, 8 institutes and 30 research centers. Among its 23 faculties there is also a specialization in theology.
During the visit, a memorandum of understanding was signed between the Center and this University. At the ceremony, the parties noted that the cooperation relations established on the basis of this legal document will be equally beneficial for both scientific institutions.
In the memorandum, joint education and research, training of researchers, exchange of educational materials and publications are included in the list of common areas of cooperation.
