Imam Bukhari International Scientific Research Center was visited by a delegation of more than 20 Islamic scholars from the United States of America, Singapore, Turkey, Malaysia, Great Britain, Australia, Brazil, the Netherlands and the Arab Republic of Egypt. The delegation led by the founder of the Cordoba Academy in Spain, Sheikh Muhammad Daniel, was welcomed by the Deputy Director of the Center Dr. Otabek Muhammadiev. The Academy of Classical Islamic Sciences of Cordoba is a world-famous center for the teaching of Islamic sciences, combining traditional teaching methods through isnad with modern technologies and teaching methods.
The curriculum of the academy, which operates as a non-profit organization, is based on the texts of masterpieces written by Imam Bukhari, Ibn Hajar Askalani and Imam Suyuti. The guests were introduced with the activities of the museum. They were very interested in paintings, unique historical exhibits and scientific resources that tell about the life and heritage of Imam Bukhari. During the visit, together with the Center and the Academy of Cordoba, a round table was organized on the topic “The role of Movarounnahr’s Muhaddiths in the development of Hadith Sciences”. At the event, attended members of the delegation and researchers of the Center. Sheikh Muhammad Daniel, and the well-known hadith scholar Abdulwahid Malik talked about their opinion on the topic. Hadiths were read and commented on from Sahihi Bukhari, the royal work written by our great ancestor, the Sultan of the Muhaddiths – Imam Bukhari.
It has been said that, ever since the science of hadith was born, muhaddiths began to travel to other countries in order to find knowledge. The first schools of hadith studies were established, and dozens of muhaddith scholars lived in them, who contributed to the development of hadith studies. The school they created produced great muhaddis such as Abdulhamid Keshi, Imam Bukhari, Imam Termizi, Imam Dorimi, Haytham ibn Kulayb Shoshi, Abu Hafs Nasafi, and became famous in the world.
Foreign scientists highly appreciated the activities of the staff of the Center for the Study of the Scientific Heritage of each of these great Muhaddith scholars and recognized the high importance of using the rich spiritual treasure left by the ancestors for the next generation.
At the event, the guests expressed their gratitude to the staff of the Center for the warm welcome and stated that they would join the wide popularization of the pilgrimage tourism potential of our country.
